Telašćica Nature Park Total score -
Telašćica Nature Park is a unique natural treasure located at the edge of Croatia’s land and sea territory.
WHAT TO SEE
Three basic phenomena characterize this area: the unique Telašćica Bay as the safest, most beautiful and largest natural haven in the Adriatic with 25 small beaches; the cliffs of the island of Dugi Otok (Long Island) that rise 161 m above sea level and then sink to a depth of 90 m below sea level; and last but not least is salty Lake Mir with its therapeutic properties. The total area of the Nature Park is 70.50 km2. Surrounding the lake are beautiful cultivated fields and hills rich in Mediterranean vegetation with about 500 species of flora and equally rich fauna. The undersea world has more than 300 plant and 300 animal species.
ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE TO VISITORS
It is possible to dive at several attractive locations in the park, near the cliffs, or walk in the natural surroundings. You should not miss the view from the Grpašćak lookout point. This and so much more is what has always attracted visitors to Telašćica Bay which as a Nature Park of the Republic of Croatia has been rightfully designated a highly protected natural area.
